The European Holocaust Research Infrastructure invites proposals for papers and interactive presentations at its international conference for archivists and researchers evaluating Holocaust-related research in the digital age, the current state of documentation and study of the Holocaust, and the role that EHRI plays in supporting and advancing these areas.

On August 2, 2023, ceremonies were held to commemorate the Treblinka II extermination camp victims on the 80th anniversary of the camp's prisoners' revolt. Among the guests were Ada "Krysia" Willenberg, Holocaust Survivor, wife of Samuel Willenberg, a participant in the Treblinka uprising, Israeli Ambassador Yacov Livne, Dani Dayan, director of the Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem, as well as Holocaust Survivors, Righteous Among the Nations and representatives of the highest state and local government, diplomatic corps, cultural institutions, clergy and Jewish organizations from Poland and abroad.
Remember, against all odds and despite everything | March of Remembrance 2023
On July 21, for the twelfth time, the March of Remembrance passed through the streets of Warsaw, with which we honoured the victims of the Warsaw Ghetto on the eve of the 81st anniversary of the “Grossaktion”. From July 22 to September 21, 1942, the Germans deported about 300,000 Warsaw Jews to the Treblinka extermination camp. With this symbolic march from death to life, we restore the memory of the murdered. This year's March was dedicated to the Jewish resistance and the heroes of the resistance movement.
MARCH OF REMEMBRANCE 2023
In 2023, the twelfth March of Remembrance will pass through the streets of Warsaw, commemorating the victims of the Warsaw Ghetto on the 81st anniversary of the "Grossaktion", which began on July 22, 1942. This year, March is exceptionally scheduled for Friday, July 21.

The meadow of memory. The real roots fort the »Roots of uprising«
This year's March of Remembrance of July 22, 1942, is accompanied by the exhibition "Roots of the Uprising. Resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto”.One of its elements is a flower meadow of memory, where species typical of the ruins of the ghetto were sown. Their list was prepared in 1946-49 by Prof.Roman Kobendza.
Monuments to Resistance: Art on the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (1943-1956) – temporary exhibition
Monuments to Resistance is the largest and so far the most diverse presentation of the works of art about the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in the post-war period (until 1956). The sculptures, monuments, posters, graphics, and photographs selected by the curators bring not only the multidimensionality of the subject and its enormous importance for entire generations but also the difficulties and emotions close to their creators.
May 8, 1943. Death of Mordechai Anielewicz
Mordechai Anielewicz, the commander of the Jewish Combat Organization in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, died on May 8, 1943 in a bunker at Miła 18 street. Surrounded by the Germans, most likely due to treason, the fighters committed mass suicide.
