Opening hours:
If you are a person with special needs, please contact us by phone at 22 827 92 21 or at the e-mail address rezerwacja@jhi.pl to discuss and facilitate your visit to the Jewish Historical Institute.
Admission to the exhibitions:
Entry limit for permanent exhibition – 35 people, temporary exhibition – 30 people.
The limit for admission to the synagogue exhibition is 15 people.
In 2023, the Institute will be closed on holidays:

Archives
Readers can take research visits during reading room working hours. Documents can be ordered between 9 AM and 3 PM. In the case of longer research visits, please contact us in advance at archiwum@jhi.pl or areszka@jhi.pl to reserve a place.
Readers are required to wear masks and gloves.

Library
The reading room provides documents from the Archives of the Jewish Historical Institute as well as books and periodicals from the Library’s resources. Orders can be placed in person or by e-mail. Documents and books are available only on site.
The reading room offers bibliographic help, shares information about Jewish institutions, and provides information for historical research. You may use your own copying devices in the reading room.

From September 4 to September 30 the Library will be open from 9 am to 3 pm.

Heritage Documentation Department
We invite everyone interested in information on Jewish heritage in Poland (Warsaw and other cities, cemeteries, photographs etc.) to visit the Heritage Documentation Department.
Monday – Friday: 10 am – 4 pm
Meetings at the seat of the Jewish Historical Institute will only be possible by prior arrangement.
Research visits in the JHI reading room only by prior arrangement possible from Monday to Friday, from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
