Statement on terrorist attacks in Israel

It took us a moment to absorb the shocking news of Hamas’ attack on Israel. We remain speechless in the face of this unprecedented situation that has already been compared to the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center in NYC. The loss of even one human being is irreplaceable, yet hundreds have died since last Saturday. Many of us here at the Jewish Historical Institute have close friends or professional colleagues in Israel. In these horrifying times, we stand with and by all of you. We pray for the State of Israel and all the wounded, captured, and families who lost their relatives.
