Discover the collections of the Jewish Historical Institute and browse them on your mobile device (Android only). We cordially invite you to download the Delet App, which we have prepared together with Mysza Software.

The App allows you to see examples of workshops from our portal, as well as documents and art. With the App, you can get acquainted with the materials prepared by us at any time and place. We particularly recommend a text written for us by Jacek Dehnel and studies from the Oneg Szabat collection, written by Stanisław Różycki. The “Art” tab is also worth visiting – there, you will find photos from the Warsaw Ghetto, works by Bruno Schulz and Gela Seksztajn, as well as cult objects

The application is part of the Oneg Szabat Program, realized by the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute and the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland. The aim of the program is to make available and to popularize the Underground Archive of the Warsaw Ghetto (the Ringelblum Archive) and to commemorate members of the Oneg Shabbat group.

The Oneg Szabat Program commemorates the 70th anniversary of the JHI. It was implemented by the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute and the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland within a public-private partnership.

"The teachers sacrificed along with the children." The 22nd of July March of Remembrance
‘This year’s March of Remembrance is dedicated to the teachers. In the ghetto’s extreme conditions, they still believed in the importance of education and moral standards they were teaching. Until the very last moments before deportations they accompanied their students in reading and writing lessons or preparations to their graduations exams. Many of them joined the pupils in their last journey to the Umschlagplatz,’ says Monika Krawczyk, Director of the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute, about the heroes of our annual 22nd of July March of Remembrance. The event will start at 6 pm CET at Umschlagplatz Memorial, 10 Stawki Street, Warsaw.

New regulations for using JHI collections – note
All cases regarding the access to the JHI collections, started before February 2021 (and earlier), i.e. when the old regulations on the use of the JHI collections were in force, should be completed by the end of June this year.
