Dear Sir or Madame,

as the Jewish Historical Institute of Emanuel Ringelblum, we will be happy to support you in the production of film and photographic materials for reportage, documentary, and other purposes using the collections of the Archive, Art Department, and Library or the space of the Institute. To facilitate our cooperation, we would like to remind you of a few operations you can do, that will speed up the start of shooting at the headquarters of the JHI:

1. Recordings and photographs require the consent of the Institute. Please contact us by e-mail at promocja@jhi.pl at least one week in advance before the planned visit. Please include the following information:

  • Name of the editorial office or institution you represent;
  • Name and description of the project (concept, purpose of the material);
  • Planned date of recordings or photos and a list of names of crew members;
  • Information about the planned date of broadcasting the material;
  • Names of JHI experts you would like to record;

2. A large part of the JHI's collections is available online with reference numbers (www.delet.jhi.pl; www.cbj.pl and information on how to use them can be found here.). We will be honoured to help you find them.

3. Materials containing items from the JHI collection should include their exact description, longer materials should include the JHI logotype - of course, we will be happy to help you and provide you with detailed information

4. Materials in the interiors of the JHI cannot be used as a background in films in which JHI experts or threads concerning the institute do not appear.

5. Please film/take photos in places indicated by JHI employees.

6. Please follow the instructions of JHI employees regarding filming (e.g. use of gloves, sharpness of light - it's about protecting objects, which is supervised by the JHI Conservation Department).
