The JHI work schedule from 17 to 23 April 2023

Due to the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, from April 17 to 23, 2023, the work schedule of the Jewish Historical Institute is changed.

From April 17 to April 23 the library is closed.

On April 18, admission to the permanent exhibition "What we’ve been unable to shout out to the world" will be free of charge.

On April 19 and 20, the JHI will be closed to visitors.

On April 21, admission to the temporary exhibition "Monuments to Resistance: Art on the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising (1943-1956)" will be free of charge.

The meadow of memory. The real roots fort the »Roots of uprising«
This year's March of Remembrance of July 22, 1942, is accompanied by the exhibition "Roots of the Uprising. Resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto”.One of its elements is a flower meadow of memory, where species typical of the ruins of the ghetto were sown. Their list was prepared in 1946-49 by Prof.Roman Kobendza.
