This transatlantic meeting with the renowned Polish-Jewish author will take place in two time zones at once, and will be moderated by Katarzyna Jerzak, professor of comparative literature and translator of Grynberg’s work. Dr. Klaudiusz Bobowski from the Department of English Studies, Pomeranian University in Słupsk, whose research interest is the Cold War, will also participate in the meeting.
Among the topics to be discussed are asylum, flowers fragrant even in dreams, old age, Agnieszka Osiecka, cases discontinued and suspended (which should never have been subject to the statute of limitation), the stupidest film that ever received an Oscar, and the fact that „we create systems, not the other way around. "
The discussion has been organized under the auspices of the Polish publishing house Wydawnictwo Czarne and of Voice of America. It will be in English and Polish (consecutive translation will be provided by the discussants).
