Participants of the “Yiddishism: Mythologies and Iconographies” conference took a critical look at the creation, propagation and transformation of Yiddishist myths, icons and rituals from the late 19th century up to the present. They also focused on the role they played during the Holocaust, as well as on the impact the Shoah had on their nature and presence in postwar and contemporary culture.

The conference was organized and held in co-operation with Maison de la Culture Yiddish — Bibliothèque Medem in Paris.

Below we are publishing the gallery of photographs from the event.
