Emanuel Ringelblum (third from left) at the International Congress of Historical Sciences

Emanuel Ringelblum is primarily known as a co-founder of the Underground Archive of the Warsaw Ghetto. His pre-war research findings on the history of the Jews in old Poland, particularly Warsaw, stay in the background. The research was taken up by a man coming from Galicia, being a Varsovian by choice. About the Polish and Jewish environment as well as contemporary social situation and their impact on Emanuel Ringelblum as a historian will talk dr Paweł Fijałkowski.
