Ten years ago, in the Polish papers took place a discussion about the boundaries of the concept of collaboration and judgement of social attitudes during the German occupation. In the debate, problems associated with collaboration and its different division.
Also, the issue of different perspectives of looking at collaboration and differences between the wartime and contemporary definitions was raised. As a result, questions were asked regarding terminology during the occupation, namely, what kind of act was referred to as „treason”, „betrayal”, „collaboration with the enemy” and what categories of behaviour were stigmatized? The paper will answer all these questions by presenting the research results of the discourse on social behaviour in the context of cooperation with the Third Reich in Polish underground press, which came out in the General Government.
