It was this innocent, childish rhyme that served Krystyna Piotrowska as the inspiration for creating one of the two works presented at our exhibition entitled „Polish art and the Holocaust.” We invite you to watch a moving and very personal account of the artist.
Krystyna Piotrowska (born 1949 in Zabrze)
A graphic designer, author of videos and video installations. She graduated from the Faculty of Interior Design at Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. From 1985 to 1990 she studied at Grafik Skolan Forum in Malmö, Sweden. Her early works include mainly portraits. After returning to Poland in 2001 she was the curator of the Próżna Project held in 2005–2010 in the only remaining street of the Warsaw ghetto. She also exhibited her own works there. She has had many solo exhibitions in Poland and Sweden, as well as in Paris and Hamburg.
