Rumkowski’s announcement was issued today saying that as a result of last week’s shooting, apparently from the ghetto, no one will be allowed to leave their flats on Saturday under the threat of severe punishment. He also says that, apparently, the residents of the ghetto were in great danger because of the shooting of an anonymous criminal, but thanks to his intervention, it was possible to reduce the punishment to Saturday’s house arrest. Nobody wants to believe in this story, but nobody can explain the Saturday’s punishment.
