An occasion to organize the seminar is, published by the Jewish Historical Institute, “Renia Knoll’s Diary”, belonging to a thirteen-year-old girl from the ghetto in Cracow, miraculously saved from a pile of waste paper in a paper mill in Jeziorna. The program of the seminar includes workshops and lectures dedicated to the diaries written by children during the German occupation in Poland. 


9.00 – 9.15 – Welcoming words, presentation of the schedule of the training course

9.15 — 10.45 – dr Justyna Kowalska-Leder — “Occupation diaries of the Jewish teenage girls”

10.45 – 12.15 — Marta Janczewska – Everyday life during the Holocaust seen through the eyes of children and youth

12.15 – 12.30 — Coffee break

12.30 – 15.30 — Wiesława Młynarczyk– Children’s diaries and journals in education about the Holocaust


15.30 – 16.15 — Dinner at “Corazzi” restaurant

16.15 – 17.45 — dr Piotr Weiser– Diaries, Journls, Letters, Autobiograpies. Introduction.

17.45 — Summary of the training, distribution of the certeficates

Warsaw, 3/5 Tłomackie Street, the room in “Błękitny Wieżowiec” (the Blue Tower)

The training course is free of charge. Each participant will be given a certificate of participation. The organizers do not provide accommodation.
