Yesterday, the exhibition ‘Polish art and the Holocaust’ was opened by President Bronisław Komorowski and the director of Jewish Historical Institute, Paweł Śpiewak. The honorary guests included ‘Kazik’ Symcha Ratajzer-Rotem and Samuel Willenberg, two of the last participants in Jewish uprisings of 1943. To the vernissage attended also Culture Minister Bogdan Zdrojewski, Vice-Marshal of the Sejm Magdalena Nowicka, Minister Maciej Klimczak from the Chancellery of the President, the Secretary of Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Piotr Żuchowski, ambassadors of Israel, Austria, France, Greece, Croatia, Lithuania, Switzerland and Australia as well as artists and other members of artistic community.
